HOLIDAY LONG WEEKEND AT THE HOTEL ST. GEORGE FOR
Hotel St. George invites you to spend the Halloween and All Saints’ Day long weekend in Milan and enjoy the many events happening in the city; in particular opera, which is rooted in Italian tradition and so representative of the country.
“Il Rigoletto”, one of Giuseppe Verdi’s most famous operas (along with “La Traviata” and “Il Trovatore”, the other two works of his operatic trilogy), will have two showings in early November. Production is by the “Circuito Lirico Lombardo” with direction and set design by Massimo Gasparon. The music is by the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra conducted by Marco Guidarini. The tragic ending of Rigoletto allowed Verdi to show how theatre and life come together, are bound up and then fiercely break apart without a happy ending. After all this time, it is still a modern and international work that will amaze you! For more information or to make reservations, please ask at our reception desk.
Where: at “Teatro degli Arcimboldi” in Viale dell’Innovazione no. 20, Milan. When: on Thursday 3 November 2011 at 8:30 pm; on Saturday 5 November 2011 at 6:30 pm.
