Hotel St. George invites you to visit the most recent exhibition at the Palazzo Reale, “Cezanne. Les Ateliers du Midi“, opening on 20 October 2011 and running until 26 February 2012. The show pays homage to Cezanne, the great painter born in Aix-en-Provence, and to his extraordinary and individual style; which was so misunderstood and hampered in his lifetime and yet later became so influential to Cubist and Surrealist artists. The exhibition, supported by loans from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, shows the artist’s activity in Provence, particularly in Aix and the studio’s of other famous artists. He worked both outdoors and in his studio, where he painted portraits and still lifes and developed and finished his outdoor pieces. Where: at the Palazzo Reale in Piazza del Duomo no. 12, Milan. When: Monday from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm; Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm; open until 10:30 pm on Thursday and Saturday. Last admissions one hour before closing.
