The show presents paintings by many world famous artists that have influenced the way art is seen today including: &#8220;White Water Lilies&#8221; by <strong>Claude Monet</strong>; &#8220;Pierrot and Harlequin&#8221; by <strong>Paul Cézanne</strong>; &#8220;Aha Oe Feii&#8221; by <strong>Paul Gauguin</strong>; &#8220;Portrait of Ambrose Vollard&#8221; by <strong>Pablo Picasso</strong> (one of the greatest works from the late Cubist period). The paintings come from the collections of <strong>Sergej Scukin </strong>and<strong> Ivan Morozov</strong>, two Russian collectors who challenged the tastes of their era leaving us with timeless masterpieces!</p>

The exhibition, which has arrived in Europe after a long international tour that included the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, <strong>premieres in Milan</strong> until 14 February 2012. Over 500 works will demonstrate how Pixar Studios blends creativity, digital language and animation to make films including &#8220;Luxo Jr&#8221; (first full-length feature in 1986), <em>Monsters Inc.</em><em> </em>(2001),<em> </em><em>Toy Story</em><em> </em>1, 2 and 3, <em>Ratatouille</em><em> </em>(2007),<em> </em><em>WALL</em><strong><em>·</em></strong><em>E</em><em> </em>(2008),<em> </em><em>Up</em><em> </em>(2009),<em> </em><em>Cars 2</em><em> </em>(2011) and their latest &#8220;Brave&#8221; coming in 2012<em>.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The filmmakers of Pixar, which was founded by <strong>John Lasseter</strong> and <strong>Steve Jobs</strong>, use drawing, tempera, pastels and sculpture to create their stories. The public will discover the creative process behind animated film in the show&#8217;s four sections: Characters, Storylines, Worlds and Digital Convergence. New Images in Europe During the Years of Rock&#8221;, which is running until 12 February 2012. It presents the history of modern figurative art inspired by Giacometti, Bacon and many other great artists of that time. The show displays 70 paintings and sculptures from the 1960s on loan from private and public Italian and international collections with a fabulous 1960s soundtrack.</p>
<p>There is a special focus on Great Britain and artists who did cover artwork for the <strong>Beatles</strong>&#8216; albums including <strong>Peter</strong> <strong>Blake</strong> (<strong>Sgt. Pepper&#8217;s Lonely Hearts Club Band) </strong>and <strong>Richard Hamilton</strong> (<strong>White Album</strong>). Along with its expected commentary, the exhibition&#8217;s audio guide plays the music of the times starting with <strong>Elvis Presley&#8217;s</strong> early songs and ending with songs from the Beatles&#8217; last album, &#8220;Let it Be&#8221;.</p>

The museum, owned by the banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, will house the prestigious 19<sup>th</sup> -century collection of the &#8220;Fondazione Cariplo&#8221;, which includes 242 paintings and sculptures.</p>

<li>&#8220;<strong>Romanticism</strong>&#8221; (natural and urban landscapes, particularly of the city of Milan) with works by Luigi Bisi, Carlo and Giuseppe Canella, Giovanni Migliara, Francesco Hayez and Giuseppe Molteni;</li>
<li>&#8220;<strong>Il Risorgimento</strong>&#8221; (the Resurgence) with works by Domenico and Gerolamo Induno, Sebastiano De Albertis and Eleuterio Pagliano;</li>
<li>&#8221; <strong>Naturalism</strong>&#8221; with works by Leonardo Bazzaro, Mosè Bianchi, Filippo Carcano, Eugenio Gignous, Emilio Gola and Pompeo Mariani;</li>
<li>&#8220;<strong>Divisionism</strong>&#8221; with works by Emilio Longoni, Angelo Morbelli, Gaetano Previati and Giovanni Segantini.</li>
